Um, Who Knew Mark Consuelos Was a Romance Novel Cover Model? Kelly Ripa Did and She Has a Copy

During a recent episode of Live with Kelly and Mark, morning show co-host Mark Consuelos, 52, took a stroll down memory lane and reflected on his early soap opera days, when he also had a short-lived career as a romance novel cover model. But, according to the Riverdale alum, there were only ever two novel covers where he appeared—and best believe his wife Kelly Ripa, 52, snagged herself a copy.

The producers of the show shared the entire segment on the Live Instagram page, where Ripa and Consuelos discussed how men are turning to romance novels as guides on what to do and not do in the bedroom.

In the shared video, Ripa (a romance novel advocate) argues that the genre of romantic literature is way better than “porn,” as she stares at the camera intensely, making her hubby laugh of loud.

Then, Consuelos proceeds to tell the audience how, once upon a time, he was a romance novel cover model. He shares a photo of the cover with the viewers, which is titled “The Heir.” The cover (which is giving major Bridgerton vibes) shows a young Consuelos posing in Regency attire.

“My manager thought it was a good idea,” Consuelos says with a smile. “He is no longer my manager.” The All My Children alum goes on to reveal there is another book out there in the universe…and one fan managed to get a copy: his wife.

“If you had asked me, I could have gotten that for free. I still have the actual book,” Ripa replies. To that, Consuelos asks, “You still have it?” And she says with a laugh, “Of course I do.”
