Um, Kim Kardashian Shared a Super-Sweet Birthday Message for Tristan Thompson on Insta

• Kim Kardashian wished Tristan Thompson a happy birthday on Instagram yesterday.

• No one else in the Kardashian family—including Khloé—posted about Tristan’s b-day.

IDK if you already have this marked in your iCal, but just in case you don’t: Yesterday was Tristan Thompson’s birthday, and the NBA star is now 29 years old. And if you’re not a huge basketball fan and more of a Keeping Up With the Kardashians fan, you probably know Tristan as Khloé Kardashian’s ex-boyfriend who cheated on her multiple times, including when she was very pregnant with their first child together.

And Khloé and Tristan’s turbulent relationship is why it’s pretty, er, notable that Kim Kardashian decided to send Tristan some birthday love on Instagram yesterday. While the rest of the Kardashian fam stayed mum about Tristan’s b-day, Kim went ahead and wrote, “Happy Birthday @RealTristan13 !!!! Cheering loud for you today! Can’t wait to celebrate soon!” and also shared a photo of them together:

And as anyone who was wished a happy birthday by Kim on Instagram would do, Tristan reposted her pics and commented, “Thank you soo much Keeks! Turn up soon come 🍸🍷🥃” and “🤣 We have to start using the photo booths at the parties 🤣.”

While it definitely seems like a *choice* that Kim publicly sent love to Tristan on his birthday, it’s not a total surprise that Kim and Tristan are friendly—she previously invited Tristan to dinner, so it looks like they get along. And FWIW, Khloé seems to still be focusing on her co-parenting relationship with Tristan, and last month, she said that he was a “great person,” so it’s possible she doesn’t mind that Kim is super friendly with Tristan on Insta!
