The Ultimate Joanna Gaines-Inspired Prime Day Cart
"Hearst Magazines and Yahoo may earn commission or revenue on some items through these links."
Though plenty of tastemakers have a list of goodies they're snagging this Prime Day, we're looking to one in particular as a shopping guide. Yes, whatever Joanna Gaines is considering a worthy Prime Day deal is definitely something we want to take a look at. Because there's a lot that the multi-hyphenate would approve of, we're breaking down our list into two categories: things Gaines actually uses and wears on the regular and pieces inspired by her famed interiors.
From the curling iron that's responsible for her big, voluptuous waves to the newest installment in her cookbook series, there's a lot of good stuff to peruse. Before we delve into it, we want to warn you that because it's not currently Prime Day, which starts on October 10th and ends on the 11th, some of the products on our list are not discounted as of today. Just wait, though. The moment Prime Day starts, the prices of all of our top picks will drop dramatically. So if you're in the mood to spruce up your space and channel the entrepreneur, mother, and TV personality, we'd suggest waiting a few days until Prime Day officially starts.
What's more, our very own shopping editor actually has a few of our top recommended pieces at home and can vouch for their worth. So start perusing the best goodies now and think about what will change your life for the better. (Hint: all of them will!)
Magnolia Table, Volume 3: A Collection of Recipes for Gathering
When Joanna Gaines launched her third installment of the Magnolia Table cookbook series back in May of this year, you better believe we were some of the first to add it to our carts. As promised, the latest edition is brimming with easy-to-make recipes that are the perfect dish for at-home gatherings.
Cookbook Stand
You can't have a cookbook without a farmhouse-style wooden stand. This one happens to be the perfect size because the metal bar protrudes enough to support a fatter book. Trust us; you won't lose your page with this nifty find.
Stay All Day Dual-Ended Matte Eye Liner
Joanna Gaines may be better known for her laidback style and rustic interiors, but the designer, TV star, and mother of five has made black eyeliner a part of her signature look. "This one does not budge," associate shopping editor Jessica Cherner says. "It also has such a fine point that it's hard to accidentally go too thick."
Cotton Baseball Cap
Another signature essential that typically completes a Joanna Gaines ensemble? A baseball cap. No, it doesn't need to feature the name or logo of a sports team! Throw it on over unwashed hair for a low-maintenance look or loop a ponytail through the opening in the back and wear it to the pool. No matter how you style it, you'll be channeling our favorite trend-setter.
Plaid Shacket Button Down
We're not entirely sure how many cozy flannels Gaines has hanging in her closet, but more than a few is probably a safe bet. This one is on the thicker side, so feel free to wear it over a tee shirt as a jacket.
Hello Fall Soy Candle
Gaines may be partial to her own Magnolia Home candles, but surely, she supports some others in her massive arsenal of delicious-scented picks. This one, which smells of hot cider, cinnamon, cloves, apple, and nutmeg, is easily one of our favorites. "I buy this every year the second temperatures drop below 70 degrees, and I usually run through it by the time Christmas hits," Cherner says. "That's just how much I light it!"
Stenciled Floral Peel and Stick Wallpaper
This may not be the exact wallpaper Gaines used on the walls in a Mini Reni dining room, but it's pretty darn close. Though her look is often pared back and relaxed, every now and then, the designer throws a curve ball at us and opts for something totally unexpected, like this busy green pattern that recalls old, English manor homes.
Dual Voltage, S1 Curling Iron
In addition to her smoked out eye makeup, Gaines often sports her long, luscious locks in loose waves. Back in May of 2021, the entrepreneur admitted via Instagram Stories that her hair dries a bit messier than what she often shows the world, which we all kind of assumed, but we love her for it. Stars really are just like us!
Airtight Glass Containers
If you've paid attention to the videos and posts Gaines uploads to her Instagram account, you've probably noticed a few of these lining her kitchen counters. They're air-tight glass canisters that keep all of your dry goods fresh. Kitchen storage doesn't get better than this collection.
Chuck Taylor All Stars
Though Gaines has a pretty sizable shoe collection, she's often spotted donning a pair of crisp white Converse low tops. After all, they're a classic.
Garden Tool Set
According to Mayo Clinic, "[Gardening] has been shown to lighten mood and lower levels of stress and anxiety," which is perhaps why Gaines has such a big green thumb. She does, after all, have a lot on her plate!
Waist Apron with Pockets
When Gaines is in the kitchen, she's often wearing a waist apron to protect whatever she's wearing. This version includes pockets for peak convenience while cooking!
Stubbornly Rip-Resistant Tights
She typically wears tights only when she's getting a bit more dolled up than usual, but if it's cold outside and Gaines is making an appearance somewhere fancy, you know she'll be wearing black transparent tights.
Impala Quad Skate
Gaines went through a pretty big roller skating phase, and we have the proof! Lacing these up and taking a spin outside is a shockingly good and fun way to exercise—especially while the weather is still nice.
Pin Hoop Earrings
Fasten this unique pair of safety pin-style gold hoops to your ears for a very glamorous Joanna Gaines-inspired look.
Arizona Taupe Women's Sandals
In the warmer months, which is most of the year in Texas (where Gaines and her family live), she can often be spotted in a pair of natural-toned Birks. "I have a pair in silver and I love them," Cherner says. "They're so durable—even in the rain!"
Jar Lifter Tongs and Canning Rack
Like any cooking fanatic, Gaines is a pro when it comes to canning everything from homemade tomato sauce to berry jams. If you want them to last up to a year, you have to can them properly by boiling them in water using brand new lids and a set of lifter tongs. Need some more details. Peep our instructions here.
Leather Journal
Gaines tends to photograph vignettes in her Waco, Texas, home and this little leather-bound journal often finds itself in the frame. There's something about our thoughts, words, and dreams bound in supple leather that makes them feel more important.
Artisan Tilt-Head Stand Mixer
Okay, Gaines's KitchenAid standing mixer may be green, but this deep red one does the exact same thing, so we're adding it to the list. If you cook or bake, you need this mighty machine. It may be expensive, but it definitely lasts pretty much forever. "My grandmother sent me to college with one of these and nearly 10 years later, it still works just as well," Cherner says.
Inspired by Joanna Gaines's Interiors Style
Apothecary-Style Cabinet
We're ever-so-slightly shifting gears here, going from pieces Gaines loves and uses to pieces inspired by her own interiors (and those she designs). The queen of rustic spaces is definitely no stranger to the beloved apothecary cabinet. It may not be the most practical if you have bulkier things to store, but it sure is beautiful.
White Ceramic Subway Tile
Gaines's kitchen is completely swathed in a glossy white subway tile, a classic choice in pretty much any space—no matter the style.
10-Sheet Peel and Stick Subway Tile
If you don't have the time or the skill to install an entire wall of subway tiles, take a shortcut with a peel-and-stick alternative that you can install in a matter of two hours.
Windsor Dining Chair, Set of 2
Windsor chairs have been around since the early 19th century, and they haven't really gone anywhere since. Of course, they tend to show up in more traditionally designed homes than really contemporary ones, but no matter! Gaines herself has a set of these surrounding her dining table.
Wooden Salad Bowl Set
Whether you're using it to make her famed flavored popcorn (from her newest cookbook) or to serve salads when family comes over for dinner, you're going to enlist this heavy-duty wood bowl and its included utensils more than you'd expect.
Linen Throw Blanket with Fringe
Throw blankets are like the finishing touch on a good outfit. No one's home explains this better than Joanna Gaines. Seemingly every sofa and bed in her home is draped with a cozy (often linen) throw.
Ceramic Black Vase
Black decor may seem a little too bold, but depending on the rest of the decor in the space, it can actually go rustic or rugged. Need some inspiration to get you started? Peep Gaines's gorgeous use of a black vase.
Klaudia Trellis Modern Area Rug
Gaines has developed several area rug collections over the years, and though they're all different, they do feature her sense of distressed warmth, much like this one that's well under $150.
100% Yarn-Dyed Linen Tablecloth
The moment winter ends and spring is on the horizon, Gaines usually breaks out her blue and white gingham table cloth for al fresco picnics. We're partial to this green one because it feels a bit more cottagecore than bright blue.
Napa Home & Garden Mini Pots, Set of 6
As an avid gardener, Gaines has a massive collection of distressed terracotta pots to house her plant babies. This set of six is easily one of our favorites because they look and feel like antiques, but they're not quite so delicate or expensive as ones you'd find in the Paris flea markets.
Fall Forsythia Wreath
"Joanna posted this video to her Instagram account exactly two years ago and I am still thinking about it," Cherner says. "Her fall wreath is probably made of real flowers, but I like the artificial ones because they last much longer."
Aged Brass Wall Sconce
Arguably the brightest star of Mini Reni, an antique-inspired lamp takes the cake. This one is a bit different, but has a very similar vibe.
Artificial Eucalyptus Leaves
Nothing, and we mean nothing, is more Joanna Gaines-approved than a small planter made entirely of galvanized metal. It's rustic, it's cool, it's farmhouse. Need we say more?
Wood Arched Mirror
When it comes to the farmhouse look, simple is always key. Case in point: this mirror, which features an easy rounded shape in a soft wood finish.
Rattan Wicker Baskets
How else do you carry fresh cut flowers from the garden into the house? Gaines uses a basket with handles, and we will too.
Monaco Cake Set
Though this chocolate cake looks decadent and delicious, we're feasting our eyes on the glass cake stand upon which it's resting. It's giving us Marie Antoinette vibes in all the right ways.
Handmade Leather Butterfly Chair
We wouldn't be surprised if Gaines admitted that she has one of these deep, cozy butterfly chairs in every room of the house. We've certainly spotted it in more than one.
Enameled Cast Iron Signature Round Dutch Oven
Hear us out: Le Creuset is no ordinary cookware brand. It's French, it's durable, and it gives all food that extra oomph. Plus, it's so beautiful that you can leave it on your stove all the time. "This was another gift from my grandmother, and I use it for literally everything," Cherner says. "I make one-pot pastas in here, soups, stews, and even roast chicken!"
Ceramic Berry Baskets
Gaines breaks out her adorable colanders during holidays like Fourth of July, but we're down to use these all year.
