The Arizona Diamondbacks have advanced to the National League Championship Series, where they'll face the Philadelphia Phillies in the best-of-seven playoffs. Game 5 is Saturday, Oct. 21.

Whoever wins will make it to the 2023 World Series. They'll compete against the winner of the American League Championship Series, either the Texas Rangers or the Houston Astros.

Three NLCS playoff games will be played at Chase Field in downtown Phoenix. If games 6 and 7 are needed, the teams will head back to Philadelphia.

If you're thinking of going to cheer for the Diamondbacks, act fast, as tickets are selling quickly. Here's what to know before you go to the NLCS playoffs at Chase Field.

When are the Diamondbacks-Phillies NLCS games at Chase Field?

Here's the NLCS playoff of games at Chase Field, according to the Diamondbacks' schedule:

  • Game 3 on Thursday, Oct. 19, starts at 2:07 p.m. Arizona time.

  • Game 4 on Friday, Oct. 20, starts at 5:07 p.m. Arizona time.

  • Game 5 on Saturday, Oct. 21, starts at 5:07 Arizona time.

Are Diamondbacks-Phillies NLCS tickets still available?

Yes. Ticketmaster advertised a number of available seats for the Oct. 21 game, starting at $105 for seats in the back sections of the stadium and $405 for seats close to the ballfield.

On the resale market, tickets were advertised as low as around $42 and as high as $4,800 on SeatGeek, StubHub and Vivid Seats.

When do Chase Field gates open?

Gates will open at 2:30 p.m., about two and a half hours before the first pitch for Game 5 on Oct. 21.

Who will throw the first pitch at Game 5 of the NLCS playoffs?

Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps will throw the ceremonial first pitch.

Can you bring water to Chase Field?

You can bring unflavored, noncarbonated water into Chase Field if it's in sealed plastic bottles.

Empty plastic water bottles are allowed inside and can be filled at drinking fountains in the stadium.

What items are prohibited at Chase Field?

The following items are prohibited:

  • Animals (except for service animals).

  • Aerosol cans.

  • Drones and other remote-controlled devices.

  • Drugs or other illegal substances (including medical marijuana).

  • Fireworks or other incendiary devices.

  • Camera tri-, dual- or single-leg pods by non-media personnel.

  • Skateboards, inline skates, scooters or shoes with wheels.

  • Obscene, offensive, indecent or inappropriate attire.

  • Blow horns or noisemakers.

  • Umbrellas.

  • Fishing nets.

  • Beach balls, balloons or other inflatables (without prior approval).

  • Laser pens.

  • Frisbees.

  • Bicycles (use the approved bike parking racks).

  • Liquids or machines for blowing bubbles.

Is the Diamondbacks stadium air conditioned?

Chase Field is air conditioned using the Northwinds cooling system. The air conditioning allows for the roof to remain open longer during the day.

Can you swim in the pool at Chase Field?

Yes, but it's expensive. Booking the suite where the pool is accessible starts at $4,750.

Can I bring snacks into Chase Field?

Food is allowed as long as it's in a clear plastic bag. Metal, glass and Thermos-like containers are not allowed.

Where is Chase Field?

Chase Field is at 401 E. Jefferson St. in downtown Phoenix. It is bounded by Seventh Street to the east, Fourth Street to the west, Jefferson Street to the north and the Southern Pacific Railroad tracks to the south.

How do I drive to Chase Field?

From the southeast Valley: Take Interstate 10 west, use the right three lanes to Interstate 17 at the split. Exit to the right on Seventh Street (Exit 145A), then turn left at the light on Lincoln Street. Alternatively, continue north on Seventh Street to Jefferson Street, then turn right to access parking facilities east of Seventh Street. Be aware that left turns from Seventh Street westbound onto Washington Street are prohibited.

Chase Field offers a tip for avoiding congestion: Continuing on Interstate 17 to the Seventh Avenue exit, then turning right on Seventh Avenue and right at Lincoln or Jefferson streets.

From Scottsdale or east Mesa: Take Loop 202 west to I-10 and exit via the Third Street HOV lane (Exit 145B) or Seventh Avenue (Exit 144). Turn left on Fillmore, Van Buren (accessible from Third Street only) or Jefferson streets.

From the northwest Valley: Use I-17 to the Jefferson Street exit (Exit 199B), then turn left and continue eastbound.

From the northeast Valley: Take State Route 51 (Piestewa Freeway) to I-10 east, exit at Washington Street (Exit 148) and turn right. You can also take I-10 west to the Seventh Street exit (Exit 145A) and turn left.

To avoid congestion, continue on I-10 to Seventh Avenue (Exit 144) or the Fifth Avenue HOV exit (Exit 145B). Turn left on Fillmore, Van Buren (accessible from Fifth Avenue only) or Jefferson streets.

From north-central Phoenix: Use surface streets, including Seventh Avenue, First Avenue and Seventh Street. Be aware that Seventh Street is the least preferred option because of heavy traffic.

From the West Valley: Take I-10 to Seventh Avenue (Exit 144) or the Fifth Avenue HOV exit (Exit 145B) and turn right. Turn left on Fillmore, Van Buren (accessible from Fifth Avenue only) or Jefferson streets for parking.

Does the light rail stop at Chase Field?

Valley Metro light rail trains run every 15-20 minutes and drop you off within walking distance of Chase Field. The closest stations to Chase Field are the Third Street/Washington and Third Street/Jefferson stations.

You can buy your fare at any light rail station with cash, credit or debit card. All-day passes are also available, which can help you avoid lines at fare vending machines.

Does the Diamondbacks stadium take cash?
