UK’s Eurovision entry Olly Alexander breaks silence after Netherlands singer Joost Klein disqualified

The UK’s Eurovision entry Olly Alexander has broken his silence after Netherlands singer Joost Klein was disqualified from the competition on Saturday (11 May).

The Dutch act has been kicked out of the contest ahead of tonight’s grand final following a Swedish police investigation into allegations of inappropriate behaviour, the European Broadcasting Union said.

Years and Years singer Olly Alexander, who is representing the UK, posted an Instagram video message to his fans on Saturday, thanking people for their support.

In his message, a somewhat emotional Alexander, urged people to vote for him.
