Uh, Twitter Has Evidence Selena Gomez and Chris Evans Might Be Dating?!

We have a mini update! Some of the "evidence" used to suggest Selena and Chris may or may not be dating does not, in fact, check out.

The claim they left a studio together earlier this month doesn't exactly hold up. The pics of Selena used are actually from way back in 2019. Ho hum! Neither Selena or Chris have said anything yet about the rumors, but considering they're both trending on Twitter right now anyway, the internet is sure having a field day regardless, isn't it?

Anyone else literally just out here minding their own damn business this evening only to discover that the internet thinks Selena Gomez and Chris Evans are dating? First of all, please note that there is no official confirmation that anything is happening between these two, making at least part of this pure fan fiction. But there isssss some intriguing evidence, as first reported by Nicki Swift and The Sun.

By which I mean Selena and Chris have been spotted hanging out in Los Angeles—leaving the same restaurant together in photos circulating on social media. On top of that 👀-inducing news, apparently Chris just started following Selena on Instagram. Although, I mean, who doesn’t follow Selena, you know?

Anyway, before you entirely spiral like everyone in the below tweets, it’s possible that these two are either (a) friends or (b) working on a project together—although if that’s the case, it hasn’t been announced yet because the only upcoming movies on Selena’s IMDb are Hotel Transylvania and In the Shadow of the Mountain, while Chris’s upcoming projects include The Gray Man, Lightyear, Little Shop of Horrors, and Bermuda.

Either way, no one is okay on Twitter right now, which, understandable.

On top of alllll this, multiple TikToks have drummed up an old 2015 interview with Selena on Watch What Happens Live, during which she admitted that she was into Chris, saying, “I kind of have a crush on Chris Evans. Isn’t he cute? He’s very cute.” She then added, “He’s either going to hate me or love me.”

Welp. Guess we’ll be updating this once Chris or Selena speaks out!
