Uh, Mariah Carey Just Posed With Her Daughter, And They're Legit Twins

Big news for Mariah Carey fans today: Mimi just announced that she will be doing two holiday shows this year—at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Canada, and Madison Square Garden in New York City—where she’ll belt out a slew of her holiday songs. But that's not the only major content this star has dropped this week.

Mariah celebrated her big announcement by sharing the sweetest snap of herself and her daughter Monroe Cannon on Twitter. In the pic, the 52-year-old posed next to a party bus alongside Monroe while rocking matching miniskirts and hairstyles. “Mom/Daughter Duo Hair Extravaganzas!!! 🦋💕🦋💕 #Thehairtales,” Mariah wrote in the post. Twins? Yup, I think so.

The two seem to have had a whole adventure that day, because Mariah also shared two posts on Instagram about it. There’s Mariah and Monroe in a store (or Mariah's dressing room—IDK):

People cheered them on in the comments. “Twinning 👯♀️ Mariah’s not regular mom, she’s a cool mom,” one person joked, making a Mean Girls reference. “CURLS ARE CURLINGGGGGG,” another said. "THIS IS SO ICONIC," a third wrote. And yes, most of the comments were written in all caps.

While the pics generated a lot of enthusiasm, this is hardly Mariah and Monroe’s first "Mommy And Me" moment. The two wore coordinating pajamas last month while posing next to a window:

Monroe actually seems as comfortable in front of the camera as her mom is. Last year, she starred in an Osh-Kosh campaign where she...played her mom. The whole "twinning" thing is definitely starting to make sense.

Mariah may be a famous pop star, but she also cherishes her role as "mom." And the singer has been open about her difficulty getting pregnant with her kids, so it's really sweet that she's able to experience this moment with her little girl so many years later.

Mariah had a miscarriage back in 2008, and later talked to Barbara Walters on 20/20 about her fertility journey. Among other things, Mariah said that she used acupuncture and fertility treatments to get pregnant with her twins. ‘The main thing I did that was tough, was to go on progesterone like every month,” she said. “And then when I was pregnant, I had to stay with the progesterone for 10 weeks.”

Mariah referenced her tough journey to motherhood in a Mother’s Day post last year, writing, “All things are possible... Happy Mother's Day!!! ❤️🦋” alongside a photo of herself and her kids.
