Bachelor in Paradise alum Tanner Tolbert just hit Nick Viall’s Instagram comments to double down on his criticism of Demi Burnett.
Tanner and Demi had previously gotten into a Twitter fight about her coming into BiP with a girlfriend back home.
Tanner, WYD? The Bachelor in Paradise alum—one of the few who actually found love on this insane show—recently called out Demi Burnett for having a girlfriend before she arrived in Paradise. And even though she was completely up front about it from day one, he went ahead and compared her to Bachelorette bad-guy Jed “Wrong Reasons” Wyatt, which naturally prompted backlash.
Despite the fact that literally everyone (including BiP cast members) shot him down, Tanner’s still out here defending his opinion in Nick Viall’s Instagram comments, which ugh.
“Figured I’d weigh in since you brought up my comments on the podcast...,” he wrote. “I’m truly happy for Demi...and think it’s great that the franchise is raising awareness...just wish that if they wanted to showcase this, they would have cast her girlfriend from day 1 so we wouldn’t have to watch all the ‘acting’ on how we got to this point...I wish them the best but also want to feel like I’m watching an unscripted show—I respect your take tho.”
Like...sure...but as Nick says, “She was honest, who gives a shit? This is good for the franchise, this is good for the show, this is good for society.” Bachelor in Paradise is a campy reality show that that’ll inevitably have scripted drama, so like...LET DEMI LIVE?!
