Coming off a dramatic KO victory over Justin Gathje at UFC 300, Max Holloway decided to head over to Lemoore for some relaxation. In a recent upload to YouTube, the fighter documented a Holloway family trip to Kelly Slater’s Surf Ranch.

Though he’s best known for dominance inside the octagon, Max Holloway is no stranger to surfing. Not only was he born in Honolulu and raised in Wainae, but his wife, Alessa Holloway (nee Quizon) is a former professional surfer. We’ve seen him in action a couple times before, including one session at Japan’s Shizunami Surf Stadium (the country’s first large-scale artificial wave pool, created for the 2020 Summer Olympic Games in Tokyo).

The visit had the Holloway’s in high spirits, with Max singing Dr. Dre while riding a beach cruiser and his son, Rush, commenting that the chance to surf the world-famous artificial wave was going to bring tears to his eyes. Unsurprisingly, Alessa stole the show, performance-wise.

Of course, the GOAT also made a brief appearance. It is his wave, after all.
