Homeowners across the country will often go to extreme lengths to protect their property. That's doubly true if they're an MMA fighter.

UFC champion Sean Strickland shared home security footage documenting a scary encounter in his driveway. The video shared to Instagram stitched together Ring clips from various cameras showing the moment when an unidentified man seemingly tried to open the door to one of Strickland's cars, prompting Strickland to rush out of the house and point a gun at the would-be burglar. The tense confrontation was soundtracked by Mick Gordon's rock track "The Only Thing They Fear Is You."

Strickland claimed in the post's caption that the alleged robber was actually an accused domestic abuser that stumbled onto his property.

"The guy was drunk stomping out a girl," he purported, noting that his security saw it happen. "He jumped in his car and drove off. Security followed him, hit a curb, completely shredded his tire, drove on the rim for a while then jumped out and tried to hide at my house," he explained. "I initially thought he was stealing my car."

It's unclear where the incident took place, and Men's Journal has not been able to independently verify the allegations.

It didn't take long for the man in the video to get arrested. Strickland explained on social media just how the law—and karma—caught up with the alleged attacker while sharing a photo of a naked car tire.

"The guy was beating up a girl and fled drunk from security, wrecked his car, drove on the rim till it couldn't drive and took off on foot hiding at my house," he again claimed. "[He] had to turn himself into police in the morning."

Talk about being at the wrong place at the wrong time.
