Following the news that Godzilla vs. Kong is receiving a sequel movie, TOHO has announced the official premiere dates for the upcoming Godzilla Minus One film.

Directed and written by Takashi Yamazaki, the award-winning filmmaker who’s known for critically-acclaimed CG films such as Parasyte and Stand By Me Doraemon. Yamazaki will also serve as the visual effects supervisor for the new Kaiju movie. Setting scenes in postwar Japan, the live-action film will undoubtedly be action-packed, with high-quality CGI bringing the terrors of the prehistoric monster to the big screens.

Godzilla Minus One will be premiering in Japan on this year’s “Godzilla Day,” which is November 3. It's confirmed for release in U.S. theaters starting December 1, where it will be available to watch across the nation. At the time of writing, no further information has been officially unveiled regarding the film’s cast or general plot points.
