U.K. Model Penny Lane Sizzles in 'Sports Illustrated Swimsuit' Rookie Debut

English-born model Penny Lane is making her Sports Illustrated Swimsuit debut, and fans finally have the first look at some images from her photoshoot for the upcoming 60th anniversary issue in May.

Lane is one of seven co-winners of the 2023 SI Swim Search, all of whom will appear in the 2024 Swimsuit issue. The Cheshire, England native called the experience of shooting in Portugal a "beautiful all-around experience," saying it had fulfilled a childhood dream of hers.

Although she's new to SI Swim, Lane is a seasoned model. She's previously worked with brands like Armani, Dolce & Gabbana, Burberry, Balmain, Charlotte Tilbury, SKIMS and Intimissimi. She's also appeared as the bodyguard to Lex Luthor in 2017's The Justice League as well as in Drake's 2022 music video for “Falling Back."

“Beyond the surface beauty in the images [resulting from her rookie feature], I want viewers to recognize the journey behind them,” Lane said. “I want women to understand that achieving confidence and balance took time and patience for me. My path involved deep self-discovery, and I aim to share the most significant discovery of my life so far. I hope that, by witnessing my journey, women will realize that striving to be their happiest and most balanced selves will, in turn, bring out the most beautiful version of themselves. It’s about embracing a holistic approach to well-being that goes beyond the surface, fostering inner strength and radiance.”

Sports Illustrated previously revealed photos of retired college dean Nina Cash, 57, one of Lane's co-Swim Search winners, as well as some snaps of Livvy Dunne, who will be returning for the 2024 issue.
