This U.S. Airport Is Adding New International Flights — Including a Direct Route to Paris

Passengers will be able to get to Vancouver, Dominican Republic, Colombia, and more thanks to new routes launched at Miami International Airport.

Travelers flying out of Miami International Airport will have even more options for their next trip outside the U.S. thanks to the addition of new routes and airlines at the Florida hub.

Earlier this month, Colombian airline Avianca announced that it's adding nonstop service from Miami to Bucaramanga, Pereira, and Santa Marta. Additionally, Air Canada will offer a new route from Miami to Vancouver three times weekly starting Saturday, according to a recent press release.

The airport will also be welcoming two new airlines starting this week.

In a recent Facebook post, Dominican airline Sky High announced its first route to the U.S., flying from Miami to Santo Domingo, four times weekly.

Starting Thursday, French low-cost carrier French bee, which currently flies out of San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Newark, will also expand service when it launches the only direct route from Miami International Airport to Paris-Orly Airport, flying three times per week.

Right now, passengers can also fly from Miami to Paris via Paris Charles De Gaulle airport with American Airlines and Air France.

“Paris remains one of the most desired international destinations in the world for South Floridians and with the continued growth that Miami is witnessing, we are confident that this is the best market for our first Southeast route,” Marc Rochet, President at French bee, said in a statement at the time of the airline's June announcement. “With the access that the new Miami service provides, we expect it to generate high demand, forging more economic and tourism ties between both cities.”

Next week Brazilian low-cost carrier GOL will resume two weekly flights to Manaus, according to a press release shared by the airport this week. Delta will also resume flying from Miami to Havana in the spring.

The airport itself is on track to break records for passenger totals by the end of the year, the press release also noted. And with the addition of these international routes, passengers flying out of Miami will have more choices for nonstop flights than ever before — even pre-pandemic.
