It’s hard to argue with the fact that chicken nuggets are good for you, but Tyson Foods is aiming to actually make them good for you, as in beneficial to your health and stuff. The company announced Thursday that it would debut plant-based nuggets this summer.

Per a press release, the product will be launched as part of Tyson’s new Raised & Rooted brand, which utilizes protein alternatives along with “plant-based and blended foods.” The nuggets will reportedly be made with a blend of “pea protein isolate and other plant ingredients.” They'll have five grams of fiber and less saturated fat, so basically I can double my (already astronomical) nugget intake? And as we all know, where chicken nuggets lead, burgers will follow. Tyson also announced plans to release a plant-based burger with fewer calories than its regular products in the fall. Its ingredients include Angus beef and pea protein isolate. Earlier this year, both Burger King and McDonalds revealed plans to bring plant-based, vegan-friendly burgers to their menus, because this is real hot rn, you guys!

So, Tyson’s plant-based move is trendy and healthy, but there is potential for market beef. (Even though there is no actual beef…in these products, which makes what I just said even more confusing.) CNBC reports that competitor Beyond Meat’s shares fell about 4 percent in premarket trading on the heels of Tyson’s announcement. While the impact of a plant-based food boom works itself out, we’ll take another 10-piece.
