Dancing With the Stars fans, Tyra Banks has an opinion about who's set to replace her for season 32.

On March 17, the supermodel shocked viewers when she announced her plans to leave the Disney+ competition series after hosting for three seasons. Shortly after, news broke that Julianne Hough would be stepping into the role later this fall. As it turns out, fans aren't the only ones excited by the update. Tyra recently spoke to Us Weekly about it and revealed that she's thrilled about her replacement, whom she called the "perfect choice."

"The businesswoman in me sees how Julianne is great on multiple levels," she shared with the outlet on March 29. "She’s a professional dancer. She is the sister of Derek [Hough], a DWTS multi-champion, who is now a stellar judge."

She continued: "It’s going to be a family affair in that ballroom which people will love to watch. And she has so much personality and strong opinions backed by expertise ... She’s gonna crush it!”

Tyra's not wrong about Julianne being the optimal person to take over hosting duties. The Kinrgy founder started on Dancing With the Stars back in 2007 as a professional dancer in season 4. During her tenure, she won two Mirrorball trophies with Apolo Ohno and Helio Castroneves.

After departing at the end of season 8 in 2009, she came back as a judge for five more seasons before leaving again after season 24 in May 2017. This marks her first return to the ballroom after being a guest judge in season 30.

As far as Julianne joining the show, she won't lead it by herself. She will interview celebrity contestants and their pro dancer partners alongside Alfonso Ribeiro, who will be returning as the newly promoted emcee.

Apart from Tyra exiting Dancing With the Stars, viewers also won't see Len Goodman following his own departure in November 2022. But don't worry, because Derek, Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli will officially be coming back to be part of the judges panel.

While it's unclear exactly when folks will see Julianne begin her new role, there may be a clue about premiere dates based on previous seasons. The last few years the show aired new episodes in mid-September, making it plausible to think season 32 will follow the same pattern.
