Tyler Blackburn Shares "Roswell" Cast Selfie
The cast of the planned Roswell revival was officially announced earlier this week, and thanks to actor Tyler Blackburn, fans finally got their peek at the first official cast selfie.
The group shot, posted to Tyler's Instagram, came just days after it was announced that the former Pretty Little Liars star would be joining the show — along with Nathan Parsons of The Originals and Michael Trevino of The Vampire Diaries. Jeanine Mason, Lily Cowles, Michael Vlamis, and Heather Hemmens were also previously confirmed to star in the series.
There's been no official word on a premiere date for the CW's planned Roswell reboot, but that hasn't stopped the stars from sharing in the excitement with social media followers. On Friday, March 9, Tyler shared a photo of the cast and captioned it "Welcome to Roswell 👽." The show's other stars soon joined in on the fun, posting the photo with their own captions of galactic greetings. Michael Trevino also shared some images from behind the scenes on his Instagram stories. The photos included a video of the cast seemingly preparing for a table read and a snapshot of his script.
It's unclear whether the reboot will include a plethora of Tabasco sauce or any scary "white rooms," but Entertainment Weekly did confirm that the show will center on two star-crossed lovers, with a political twist. According to EW, the reboot will center on Jeanine, who returns to her Roswell, New Mexico, hometown with her parents. Of course, just like its '90s predecessor, Jeanine discovers that Roswell's inhabitants might be from up north...way north. Guess we'll just have to wait and see whether these aliens actually "come in peace".
