Ty Pennington Calls New 'Rock the Block' Season the "Hardest" Yet in New Behind-the-Scenes Post

Rock the Block is returning to HGTV in March, and fans are excited to see which team seeks redemption in season 5. This time, the four teams are competing to renovate waterside homes in Treasure Island, Florida.

Returning renovators Bryan and Sarah Baeumler (Renovation Island), Keith Bynum and Evan Thomas (Bargain Block), Lyndsay Lamb and Leslie Davis (Unsellable Houses), and Page Turner and Mitch Glew (Fix My Flip) will have six weeks and a budget of $250,000 to renovate the homes. Ty Pennington is resuming his hosting duties.

According to some social media posts, it sounds like the competition was not without some behind-the-scenes drama. Ty shared a photo of the cast smiling on set and wrote, "🎬That’s a wrap on #RockTheBlock Season 5!!! WOW what a time. This was without a doubt the hardest season- to be blunt whatever could go wrong… did 😳 All the teams worked their butts off and created some of the most beautiful homes I’ve ever seen! Bryan Baeumler shared Ty's photo on his Instagram feed and wrote, "right before 6 weeks of physically and mentally punishing, exhausting and almost breaking ourselves on the block…all in the name of REDEMPTION!!"

Page Turner shared her own photos from set and wrote, "I must say, we are with some of the coolest teams ever though ❤️... Whew! This competition is going to be NO JOKE — Imma love to hate beating everyone’s BLEEEEEPPPPPPP! 🤣🤣 But I love Ya’all!! 🤣🤪"

We can't wait to see how this drama plays out when the show returns to HGTV in March.
