Two TikTokers in the Tennessee have gone viral for approaching strangers and telling them they “dropped something” — all with the purpose of making their day a little bit better.

On Nov. 6, friends Julia and Alexis shared a clip through their joint account @heartlynrae, where they walk or drive by passersby and tell them they’ve left something behind.

“You dropped something,” one of them tells a man at the beginning of the clip.

Confused, the man turns around to see what he supposedly dropped, only to be surprised by what they tell him later.

“It’s your smile ’cause you got a good one,” they tell him.

The duo continue to say the same line to other pedestrians, including a UPS driver and family. At one point, a beaming woman tells the two that they’ve made her day.

The TikTok has since received nearly 844,000 views and more than 2,600 comments.

“If something like this happen to me i literally wont forget it,” one person wrote.

“This is the kind of video that Tiktok should only allow,” another added. “Positivity.”

“You guys make me smile by watching your videos!!!” a third commented.

In an interview with In The Know, Julia and Alexis, who have known each other since the first grade, revealed that they had been complimenting people since quarantine began.

“We were thinking about how we could make just a small difference in the world,” they said. “One day, we pulled up to a stoplight, rolled down the window and started singing while complimenting people. We quickly noticed how well people responded, and they loved it.”

Among the many people the two have complimented, some of their favorite memories were with healthcare workers and an 88-year-old woman who had just gotten a haircut.

“We compliment people of all ages!” they said. “Some tell us their life stories, and those are our favorites. We have even made friends along the way and have run into fans that have seen our videos. You never know what someone’s going through, and just one compliment can go a long way!”
