This is the news we've been waiting for!

Tina Fey has finally confirmed the news we've all been hoping for, announcing that a couple of fan-favorite Mean Girls cast members are coming back, baby!

The comedian—who also wrote the scripts for all three versions of the early aughts classic—stopped by Late Night With Seth Meyers yesterday, Feb. 16, to talk about her upcoming live tour with Amy Poehler—which sold out within two days—and, of course, the "full circle" moment of starting work on the new adaptation of the Broadway musical, which was an adaptation for the 2004 hit.

Mean Girls: The Musical: The Movie (which may or may not be the official title) starts filming on March 6, as Fey revealed last night, and has quite the incredible lineup of stars.

First up, she ran through a few that have been previously confirmed, including Reneé Rapp as Regina, reprising her role from Broadway, and Moana's Auli'i Cravalho as Janice.

"And also," she said, pausing to laugh after Meyers told her not to sell herself short, fake-coughing before continuing, "Me and Tim Meadows."

You heard that correctly! Fey will be returning as Mrs. Norbury, while Meadows will reprise the role of the high school's Principal Duvall.

How fetch!

And the crowd clearly agreed, breaking into a round of cheers and applause at the news.

"I do want to give you credit," Meyers continued, going on to joke, "You and Tim had parts in the original film that you couldn't age out of," unlike most of the original cast, who were already too old to be playing high schoolers at the time.

"Teachers work forever," Fey quipped, revealing a new goal since getting to work on the new iteration: "I wanted it to be like when Gilligan from Gilligan's Island was at a trade show and be like, oh, he looks so old in his little hat."

While she was at it, Fey gave fans a hint about what they could look forward to as far as the music goes, revealing that many of the songs were being adjusted to sound more in line with pop music.

"It's a fascinating process, actually, because you kind of- in Broadway, everything has to play to the back of the house and then in movies you can kind of come back in and things can play really intimately," she said, going on to compliment crew members including the director and choreographer.

"It's gonna be..." she began, clicking her tongue several times as she nodded her head. "It's gonna be good."

"Wow, you do not do that many clicks when you're lying," Meyers said, assuring viewers.

Angourie Rice (Cady), Jaquel Spivey (Damian), Christopher Briney (Aaron), Bebe Wood (Gretchen), and Avantika (Karen) have also been confirmed. No word yet on whether any other original cast members may make appearances, but we're holding out hope for a good cameo here and there!
