Two Old Flames Heat Up in the Kitchen in Hallmark Channel's 'A Taste of Love'

If you're looking for something to watch on Presidents' Day, head over to Hallmark Channel where the love is cooking. The network's newest movie, A Taste of Love, stars Erin Cahill and Jesse Kove as two childhood sweethearts who reunite for the first time in years.

Viewers who are not Jane Austen fans will love this modern-day respite from the network's Loveuary month of movies.

What is A Taste of Love about?

Struggling to find her culinary voice, Culinary Network TV star Taylor Green (Erin Cahill) is stuck on a cheesy cooking show called Quick, Easy and Delicious. Trying to get out of her rut, Taylor presents an idea for a new show which is rejected by the network. This pushes her to return home to sort out her future before making any permanent career decisions. Upon returning home, she runs into her childhood sweetheart, Jacob (Jesse Kove), and tensions bubble up over their long-ago breakup. Her attention quickly turns to the discovery that their family restaurant and its many loving memories of her grandmother is up for sale. Determined to stop the sale, Taylor devises a plan to rekindle her father’s passion for food by entering them in the town’s annual Sugar Festival cooking competition. But things don't go quite as planned and Taylor is forced to choose between her budding relationship with Jacob, saving the family’s restaurant and her dream career.

Meet the A Taste of Love cast

Erin Cahill (Taylor)

A staple at Hallmark, Erin Cahill most recently starred in Christmas on Cherry Lane for Hallmark Channel's Countdown to Christmas lineup. Previous credits include A Timeless Christmas, Mystery 101 and The Secret Ingredient. Cahill also serves as a producer on A Taste of Love.

Jesse Kove (Jacob)

Jesse Kove is the son of Martin Kove, who also stars in the film. He most recently starred in Lifetime's The Holiday Proposal Plan opposite Tatyana Ali.

Martin Kove (Glenn)

Martin Kove is best known for his role as the morally corrupt John Kreese, the main antagonist in the first Karate Kid movie and later in the Cobra Kai series on Netflix. This role in A Taste of Love is a bit of a departure for him as he usually plays the villain in movies.

When does A Taste of Love premiere?

A Taste of Love premieres on Monday, Feb. 19 at 8 p.m. ET on Hallmark Channel.
