Two off-the-beaten path Arizona restaurants named top in the US by tourists in a new ranking
Two destination restaurants in Arizona got high marks from travelers in Tripadvisor's Travelers' Choice Awards.
The travel website recently issued its annual Best of the Best restaurants list, which recognizes the nation's best restaurants based on ratings and reviews by the site's users. The Best of the Best list is divided into seven restaurant categories: fine dining, date night, everyday eats, family-friendly, hidden gems, quick bites and vegetarian.
A steak and seafood restaurant in Sedona and a fried chicken spot in Page were among the honorees.
Sedona and Page are no strangers to Tripadvisor approval. Both cities were named among the best in the U.S. when the travel website released its first batch of 2023 Travelers' Choice honorees earlier this year. Users of the site also named Adobe Grand Villas in Sedona the nation's best small hotel.

Why TripAdvisor users love Golden Goose American Grill in Sedona
Known for its American and Italian specialties and revered for its steaks, seafood and burgers, Golden Goose American Grill in Sedona was ranked the No. 7 restaurant in the U.S. for everyday eats.
Users who reviewed the restaurant praised the quality of the steaks, seafood and prime rib, and frequently singled out server Lou Ann for her outstanding service.
This year marks the fourth consecutive year Golden Goose was recognized among the Travelers' Choice Best of the Best restaurants.
Why TripAdvisor users love BirdHouse in Page
The sign outside BirdHouse in Page makes no pretenses when it comes to what you'll find there: fried chicken and cold beer. Tripadvisor users apparently agreed with the restaurant's proclamation that they serve the "best tasting fried chicken in town," as they ranked it No. 6 best quick bite restaurant in the U.S.
At BirdHouse, located about two miles east of the Glen Canyon Dam Overlook along Lake Powell, people can order chicken breasts, thighs, legs, wings and tenders in original, spicy and honey butter varieties. Tripadvisor users noted the location had the ambiance of a fast food restaurant, but the quality of the food made up for it, with the chicken described as moist on the inside and crispy on the outside.
