It was announced on Thursday that not one but two museums will open in 2017 dedicated to the legendary Yves Saint Laurent. The projects are being organized by Pierre Bergé Foundation, which is helmed by the designer’s longtime business and life partner, Pierre Bergé. The two locations will open in Paris and Marrakech, where Saint Laurent was a known fixture.

The Parisian outpost will take over the designer’s former couture house at 5 Avenue Marceau which has served as the offices of Bergé’s foundation for the past eight years. It will be redesigned to reflect the original glory of the house where women such as Betty Catroux, Catherine Deneuve, and Paloma Picasso were clients.

The second location will open on Rue Yves Saint Laurent in Marrakech. Morocco was the pair’s home away from home and the source of much inspiration for the designer’s collections. (Who can forget that famous shot of a tan and lithe Marisa Berenson posing in one of his glamorous caftans?)

Look for both museums to open next fall (i.e. book your plane tickets now!).
