Two Fisher-Price Thomas & Friends Toys Have Been Recalled & There Are About 21K in Playrooms & On Shelves

The United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) issued a recall yesterday on two Thomas & Friends toys: the Thomas & Friends Wooden Railway Troublesome Truck & Crates and Thomas & Friends Wooden Railway Troublesome Truck & Paint (see pictures of both HERE). The CPSC said the reason for the recall is the small plastic piece with the high-powered magnet that connects one train to another. It can detach or become loose which then makes it a choking and/or magnet ingestion hazard.

Thankfully, no injuries have currently been reported.

About 21 thousand of the toy trains can be found nationwide, plus around 400 in Canada. Consumers are being told to immediately stop using the trains. They can then go to Mattel’s service site and click on “Recalls & Safety Alerts” to learn how to receive a pre-paid return label. Once the product is returned, shoppers will be sent a full refund.

Consumers can check cpsc.gov/recalls for the latest information about current and new recalls.
