Fans of The Kissing Booth have been freaking out over the latest trailer for the film's anticipated sequel, but they also couldn't help but remember about everything that happened between the cast since the first movie was filmed.

Film stars Jacob Elordi and Joey King dated shortly after the first film was released, but later broke up right before filming for the second film started. After the trailer for The Kissing Booth 2 was released, fans noticed that Jacob Elordi seemed SUPER uncomfortable during filming and it showed on-screen.

"It’s so awkward watching The Kissing Booth 2 trailer knowing what happened with Jacob Elordi and Joey King. That Marco guy is cute though," one Twitter user wrote.

Another user pointed out a picture of Elordi that seemed like he wasn't comfortable being on set next to his ex-GF, Joey King.

"Jacob Elordi looks miserable AF in the trailer of the new kissing booth movie. I mean he’s in a movie he basically don’t wanna be in while having to make-out with his ex-girlfriend," a Twitter user wrote.

Someone else wrote tweeted out, "Y’all pray for my boy Jacob Elordi...he ain’t dead or nuthin he just gotta promote The Kissing Booth 2."

Jacob recently starred in Euphoria, which is set to return for a second season on HBO, but had to shut down production due to COVID-19. He also has been rumored to be dating his co-star, Zendaya, although the couple has never officially confirmed their relationship.

Meanwhile, Joey was recently linked to producer Steven Piet, who also worked with her in the hit Hulu series, The Act. She previously opened up about having to film scenes with her ex for the sequel movie.

"I'm a fan with how it resonated with the world, it resonated with me. So going back and doing that and making the sacrifice of what, obviously, everyone is thinking about — outwardly addressing, but what I'm kind of on the sly addressing, making those sacrifices was totally worth it," Joey said on the Mood With Lauren Elizabeth podcast.

The Kissing Booth 2 will be released on July 24, 2020 on Netflix.
