Twitter Isn't Loving Meghan Markle's Wedding Dress
Meghan Markle's wedding gown is officially dividing social media. Many are calling the gown "gorgeous," "beautiful," and "stunning" – while others are less than impressed. Critics of the gown are taking to Instagram and Twitter, telling followers, royals and Markle fans exactly how Meghan's super-simple wedding gown by Clare Waight Keller of Givenchy has them feeling.

Am I the only person who thinks Meghan’s dress is boring? (beautifully made and classic though) but BORING! 🤔 #royalwedding

The was not worth getting up for. Dress-bland and ill fitting. Hair-disheveled after an hour. Sermon- awful. Harry looked miserable. #awkward

Not only were those anxiously expecting the most epic royal wedding dress of the season feeling a bit let down by Meghan's super-simple gown choice, but they also seem to be underwhelmed by her styling choices overall. Additionally, many weren't so into the who-done-it game of Markle's dress designer, especially when it turned out that not a soul in the running had anything to do with the design.
I ❤️ #MeghanMarkle..But boring dress, ill fitted, no bra, hair not perfect... Where were stylists? Where were her people ? @EOnlineUK#RoyalWedding#Givenchy#MeghanAndHarry#MeghanAndHarry#RoyalWedding

#royalwedding The dress doesn’t fit that well and is boring, the hair is messed up and the tiara is just okay but she’s marrying a prince so color me jealous. #Givenchy

Some have even gone as far as to jump to comparisons between Meghan and the Duchess of Cambridge, who was careful to wear a look by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen that she's worn twice before, so as not to upstage the bride.

I’m going to say it, Kate Middleton’s dress was levels. Meghan looks stunning, but Kate wins the gown battle. #RoyalWeddingpic.twitter.com/ymRMLm1mrh

But Twitter didn't stop with the dress–they went for Meghan's beauty look as well. Those on royal watch expected to see Markle as they know and love her–perfectly polished with a touch of edge. Instead, they were furious to find her hair falling out of place at her hair line and in the back at the nape of her neck, nor were they impressed when her veil wasn't falling perfectly at the ceremony.
So what was all that about the Markle sparkle? Meghan's ability to sell out products within seconds, bring new brands to the forefront of fashion and put labels on the map? We're not totally sure it's over yet–and we're certain many will aim to shop her look. With that said, hopes are high that Markle will deliver a more innovative, fashion-forward look for tonight's reception at Frogmore House.
