Twitter Is Going Wild over This Bathroom with No Doors
While I can’t speak for every human being on this planet, I would say the general consensus is that we as a species enjoy using the bathroom in private. Sure, there are some exceptions—toddlers barging in, couples getting ready together to save time—but at the end of the day, most potty time is done solo. So when this real estate posting about a master suite with a doorless bathroom (wait, can I even call this a bathroom?) went up in the Philly Wholesalers Real Estate Group on Facebook, you bet some brows were raised.
The listing described the Philly three-bedroom home as a master suite with an “open concept bathroom area.” In case you’re wondering what that means, know that you would have more privacy in the walk-in closet than while on the can or in the shower. And the pictures included with the listing showed it all. Not one door to branch off your sleeping chamber from your washroom.
It wasn’t until user amelendez1996 brought this post to the Twitterverse that it caught some attention.

As expected, users were hooting and hollering about this peculiar arrangement.
this is a sims build when you spend it all on design but run out of budget for walls

Many commented on how this setup would affect their bathroom breaks.

Others pointed out the potential water damage the floors would be subject to.
I have anxiety over the shower having full access to those hardwoods

And while it was agreed that this was bonkers, some noted that an “open concept bathroom” is a real thing, just not to this extent.
i saw a place in emerald hills a few years ago with two toilets on either side of the open bathroom facing each other. romance isn't dead?

Judging from the pictures, the rest of the suite looks to be in pretty decent shape despite this major design faux pas. And for city living, the price is a steal. But oh man, a door would be pretty nice. My advice to whoever rents this place—lots of air freshener, a heavy duty shower curtain, and maybe invest in some type of room divider like these.
