Twitter Compares Meghan Markle's Ralph Lauren Outfit to the Line Judge Uniforms at Wimbledon

Meghan Markle's blue-and-white striped shirt and white wide-leg pants combo that she wore courtside at Wimbledon caused quite a bit of chatter amongst royal fans.

While it's believed that the Duchess of Sussex paid tribute to her husband Prince Harry with the Ralph Lauren ensemble, others are comparing her preppy look to the staffer uniforms at Wimbledon. More specifically, the line judge getups.

The line judge, which is a fancy title for umpire, makes sure the score of each match is kept accurately by calling out the lines on the tennis court. During their duties, they are required to wear an almost identical blue-and-white striped button-up to Markle's with a white skirt or pants.

Eagle-eyed fans picked up on the similarities between the similar outfits, taking their reactions to Twitter. "Love Meghan's line judge deluxe stripe-and-trouser combo," one user wrote.

Another praised her wardrobe choice: "I’ve just realised Meghan has gone dressed as a line judge, ready to help out at a moments notice. (I’m am very pleased she is wearing trousers, it’s something you never see women of influence wear enough)."

Whether Markle's getup was a subtle nod to the event hosting her, or it was a complete coincidence, the resemblance is undeniable.
