Granado cites the work of psychoanalyst Babita Spinelli, who has spoken extensively about twin flames. According to Spinelli, there are eight stages of a twin flame relationship: Yearning, Meeting, Honeymoon Phase, Challenges, The Test, The Chase, The Surrender, and Coming Home.
This outline of a twin flame relationship looks very similar to the stages of a typical, healthy romantic relationship.
Yearning: The way Granado sees it, "yearning" means reaching a point in your life when you are ready to be a relationship, which subsequently leads to you finding someone.
Honeymoon Phase: The classic "honeymoon phase" then occurs due to the fact that you have "limited information about [your] new partner… there are no challenges and everything is cotton candy sweet."
