Because time is a flat circle and everything old is new again, Twilight is being rebooted into a TV show. And fans of the original movies starring Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson are deeply in their feelings. Like, no one has been this emo since Bella that one year Edward went away and kept appearing to her as a weird floating head, and now Twilight is trending on Twitter due to everyone's angst. And the general consensus? Dismay, pretty much.

So far, not a ton is known about the Twilight TV reboot, other than the fact that it's officially in the works. According to The Hollywood Reporter, who was the first to break this harrowing news, the show "is in early development via Lionsgate Television" and Sinead Daly (whose work you may know from Tell Me Lies and The Walking Dead: World Beyond) is writing the script. Plus, there's this interesting nugget: sources say Lionsgate and Daly are still deciding if the show will be a remake of the books/movie, or a "different offshoot."

Either way, the show is in its "infancy" and there's no timeline for when it could come out. In fact, Lionsgate doesn't even have a network/streaming service in mind because they plan to "lead the development on the project before shopping the rights to the package." And before you ask: sources say that Twilight author Stephanie Meyer is "expected to be" involved. So at least there's that?
