TWICE Member Momo Is Dating Heechul From Super Junior

The two reportedly met back in 2017.

Two K-pop stars have officially announced that they're dating: TWICE member Momo, and Heechul from Super Junior.

The Korea Herald shared the news on Jan. 2 with confirmation from SM Entertainment's Label SJ, the agency that represents Super Junior. "After getting along as close colleagues of show business, the two have recently started liking and dating each other," Label SJ said in a statement to The Korea Herald. JYP Entertainment, home to TWICE, also confirmed the relationship, which was first reported by Market News.

According to Soompi, Market News had first shared the relationship rumor back in August, though JYP and Label SJ denied it at the time. Now, however, their relationship seems to be official.

The two performers (whose real names are Kim Heechul and Hirai Momo) reportedly met in 2017 while on the same TV program and became friends; Momo has also shown up some on Heechul's Instagram. "We can confirm that the two celebrities started as close senior-juniors, but recently developed feelings for each other and are meeting each other," JYP Entertainment said about the pair, according to Koreaboo. The "senior-junior" descriptor refers to their ages: Super Junior debuted as a group back in 2005, while TWICE debuted in 2015 (Momo is 23 years old, and Heechul is 36).

Momo isn't the only TWICE member to go public with a relationship in the past year. TWICE's leader Jihyo and fellow singer Kang Daniel revealed their relationship back in August with agency confirmations.
