Twelve Inches Of Snow Falls At Washington Ski Area In 24 Hours

White Pass Ski Area, Washington, hasn't had its fill of winter quite yet.

This afternoon, the ski area shared that it started the day with a whopping foot of snow in the past 24 hours.

The past several weeks have seen significant improvements in snow conditions at Washington ski areas. For much of this winter, things were looking like a bust. Then, it started snowing. Crystal Mountain, Mt. Baker, and White Pass have all recently enjoyed powdery conditions.

However, this week is set to deliver a marked weather conditions shift.

The upcoming weekend looks downright toasty at White Pass, with temperatures nearing 50 degrees. It's not necessarily cause for disappointment—clear skies and warm weather can produce some of the best days on snow. Still, it's a little early for things to be getting this hot.

While conditions appear to remain warm into the start of next week, we're only halfway through March. The rest of this month could deliver more snowfall, as could April.

In the meantime, break out the sunscreen and your favorite hoodie—spring skiing is about to arrive at White Pass, if temporarily.
