Turns Out, There's An Astrological Explanation For Justin Timberlake's Cheating Scandal

There’s a very good chance it was love at first sight for Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake, says Janelle Belgrave, an astrologer and clairvoyant intuitive who analyzed the couple’s charts. Sure, they’ve had their ups and downs what with that cheating scandal and all (more on that later), but things were pretty peachy in the beginning.

“Justin and Jessica both have significant planets on each other’s South Nodes,” she says. The South Nodes, she explains, “can be linked to our past and themes that are familiar to us.” So it wouldn’t be unusual if Jessica and Justin experienced a strong pull to each other when they met 13 years ago at a party.

But—and this is a big but—a fairytale start doesn’t guarantee anything about their future. “Frequently South Node connections can point to bonds that will eventually come to a natural end once whatever karmic lessons or patterns have been resolved,” says Belgrave. As they continue to grow, Justin and Jessica might feel that pull that first brought them together start to slack.

To get a better sense of how Jessica and Justin’s cosmic destiny might actually play out, Belgrave analyzed their astrological compatibility from every angle. From how they express love, to how the stars were aligned when Justin held hands with another woman, she unpacked how Jessica and Justin continuously find a way to work it out.

Different moons mean they clash sometimes.

“The Moon is one of the most important aspects of our charts because it speaks to our emotional needs and what we require in order to feel comforted,” Belgrave explains. It determines how in tune partners are with the other’s feelings and how capable they are of acting as support systems for each other.

“Justin’s Moon in Sagittarius is opposite to Jessica’s Moon in Gemini, so while they both enjoy chatting, traveling, and exploring, they may go about doing so in ways that irritate their partner,” says Belgrave.

Being that they’re not emotionally in sync, Jessica and Justin have to work at keeping an open mind about how the other chooses to live their life. In the moments when they can’t, the disconnect can lead to “a lot of petty bickering that unsettles their home life,” Belgrave adds.

Now, this doesn’t mean the couple is doomed; it just means they have to work that much harder at accepting each other's quirks. So far, it seems they have.

They love very differently, too, thanks to Venus.

The way Venus is positioned is major when it comes to love, sex, and attraction, says Belgrave. Justin’s Venus in Capricorn and Jessica’s in Aquarius make their desires pretty different. Jessica craves rebellion and mental stimulation over the physical stuff, while Justin’s of the conservative variety when it comes to the way he loves.

But because of the way each of their Venuses interact with Pluto, Justin and Jessica aren’t total opposites here. They’re both charming and intense. Which, for intimacy's sake, might be a good thing. But, when it comes to fear, insecurity, jealousy, and possessiveness, neither is the type to back down easily, says Belgrave. These strong passions, when they get in the way, might lead to a “lack of intimacy due to misunderstandings that make pleasure and ease hard to come by,” she adds.

Look at it this way: For Justin and Jessica, it takes a little more oomph for love to be given and received. This is something that may have contributed to Justin’s behavior last December when he was photographed holding hands and cozying up to his costar while filming a movie in New Orleans.

“That day, Saturn and Pluto were approaching Justin’s natal Venus in Capricorn,” Belgrave says. “He may have been feeling cut off and alienated, as well as a compulsive need to change so that his Venus’ needs could be met. It’s possible that hand holding is what he needed, but it may have come at a cost to his marriage."

At one point, the planets aligned just right and they imagined a joint future.

While having too many things in common can sometimes feel like a snooze fest in a relationship, the similarities Justin and Jessica share are working out pretty well for them, and they’re not taking that for granted.

“They’re both air- and fire-dominant people, so they connect in the realms of ideas and enthusiasm,” says Belgrave. This means they’re both big dreamers. Given this connection, it’s not surprising that Jessica’s planets made their way into Justin’s traditional houses for marriage, romance, and family. Being together was always their destiny because they wanted the same things from life.

They're ruled by signs that rarely compete with each other.

“Jessica has the majority of her planets on the eastern hemisphere of her chart, meaning she values her personal ambitions and her ability to act on her own, whereas Justin is western hemisphere-dominant and thrives in collaboration with others, as we've seen in much of his career,” Belgrave explains. This makes for a pretty nice balance in their relationship because neither is driven by the same thing. They don’t consider the other competition.

Thanks to Aquarius and Sagittarius’ presence in their relationship, Jessica and Justin feel comfortable doing their own thing in a relationship. In fact, “they’re unlikely to be confined to traditional relationship values at all,” says Belgrave, meaning extramarital handholding might not be the end of them after all.
