  • Reality Steve said that Clare Crawley didn’t quit The Bachelorette without consulting the producers first.

  • According to his latest update, the producers were the ones who approached Clare and brought up the idea of cutting her season short when they realized she was so into Dale Moss.

Much has been said about Clare Crawley’s season of The Bachelorette, but Reality Steve just came through with another update that set the record straight on one major rumor floating around.

When it became apparent that Clare was replaced by Tayshia Adams, sources claimed that Clare fell in love with contestant Dale Moss and refused to come out of her room and continue filming. They way it sounded, Clare quit and left producers “shocked” and “scrambling” to figure out what to do. But according to spoiler king Reality Steve, ending Clare’s season was a mutual decision that came about when the producers pulled her aside after noticing how much she was into Dale.

Reality Steve explained it all in his latest report. He wrote:

“What I’ve been told is that this narrative of Clare being difficult, production not knowing what to do, Clare having a pre-show relationship–are not true whatsoever...from the beginning, basically no one else stood a chance. It was once producers noticed Clare and Dale’s chemistry that they realized they had a problem on their hands, and in probably the biggest difference I’ve heard from what the media is reporting is that it was production’s idea to go to Clare with a suggestion of, ‘Well, what do you want to do here? It’s clear you’re into him and no one else kinda thing. And that’s where production had to think on the fly about what to do next and eventually settled on bringing in Tayshia as the Bachelorette.”

Basically, this whole situation wasn’t as messy as it previously sounded, and Clare didn’t totally derail the show. Quite simply, she fell for Dale, the producers noticed, and the producers basically presented her with the option to pursue that relationship off camera. Honestly, if Clare and Dale are happy and Tayshia gets a shot at finding love on the show, it’s a win-win-win.
