A Turnkey Penthouse Overlooking the Hudson River Hits the Market for $15 Million
Maison Hudson, a new hotel-like residential building managed by The Collection, recently opened its doors in New York City’s West Village neighborhood. If you thought the sumptuous, fully furnished units were only available for short-term stays, think again: the boutique building just put its penthouse unit on sale for a cool $15 million.
Designed by Danish, New York-based architect Thomas Juul-Hansen, the lavish apartment is located on the eighth floor of the property. Altogether, the 2,285-square-foot aerie comes with two bedrooms, three bathrooms, and a 250-square-foot private terrace overlooking the Hudson River and lower Manhattan. Like Maison Hudson’s short-term rentals, the penthouse is being offered turnkey with custom furnishings that were conceptualized by Thomas and created by the Italian furniture brand Giorgetti.

Some of the penthouse’s standout features include the chevron-pattern hardwood floors and abundance of huge picture windows that absolutely flood the place with natural light. In the living room, you’ll find a jaw-dropping floor-to-ceiling fireplace made from one solid slab of Calacatta marble. Elsewhere, there’s a dining room that comfortably seats six people and a primary suite equipped with a super king-size bed, a walk-in closet, and an ensuite bathroom. In the event the owner would like to lease the place while they’re out of town, the penthouse can be rented for a hefty $120,000 per month.
“Maison Hudson offers a rare opportunity for guests to experience highly personalized service and extraordinary lifestyle experiences in a design-forward, luxurious setting,” says Jacques Oudinot, chief operating officer and head of hospitality at The Collection, in a press statement. “From arrival, residents will be greeted by elegant décor, unparalleled hospitality, and world-class amenities, attracting those who desire an active yet private community with exclusively curated experiences at their fingertips.”
The residential building made its Big Apple debut at 401 West Street on November 6. Its collection of eight residences ranges from one- to three-bedroom units, with rents that start at $32,500 a month and top out at about $1 million per year.
Occupants are pampered with a slew of exclusive hotel-like amenities, including a spa, a state-of-the-art gym, and a South of France-inspired restaurant. Maison Hudson’s 24-hour concierge service can also arrange for in-room grocery delivery and private chef dinners, as well as secure exclusive bookings for concerts or sporting events.
