Tucker Carlson is speaking out after exiting Fox News.

The 53-year-old news anchor is breaking his silence after being let go from the conservative network on April 21 after almost 15 years of being an employee.

The Daily Mail reported that they caught up with Carlson riding in a golf cart with his wife of 32 years, Susan, as they were leaving their Boca Grande, FL home to enjoy a romantic dinner date.

"Retirement is going great so far," Carlson said with a chuckle, seemingly unfazed by the news. "I haven’t eaten dinner with my wife on a weeknight in seven years."

The outlet also revealed that the father of four kept the jokes coming when asked about his future. "Appetizers plus entree," Tucker told The Mail before he escaped the media frenzy, giving no additional information on the network's decision to let him go.

Additionally, The Mail reported that Carlson's executive producer, Justin Wells–who was also let go from the network–was spotted at the news anchors' home, seemingly plotting their next move.

Though it’s unclear what they were discussing, a source told the outlet that Carlson is not expected to make any significant moves with his career while his attorney, Bryan Freedman negotiates Carlson’s exit package with the network.

Per Entertainment Tonight, Freedman is also representing former CNN news anchor, Don Lemon, whose departure from the network was announced just moments after Carlson’s.

News of Carlson's ousting from Fox News came earlier this week, with the network revealing that both parties "agreed to part ways."

A Fox News spokesperson said at the time, "Mr. Carlson’s last program was Friday, April 21st. Fox News Tonight will air live at 8 PM/ET starting this evening as an interim show helmed by rotating Fox News personalities until a new host is named."

Although, The New York Times reported that Carlson was "given no heads-up that his time at Fox News had drawn to an end," according to two anonymous sources with knowledge of the situation. The longtime host was told about his firing on the morning of Monday, April 24.
