You Can Try Krispy Kreme's New Filled Glazed Donut For Free Tomorrow
There was a lot of panic surrounding Krispy Kreme's introduction of their new filled original glazed donut. Not to give you further reason to panic (or continue panicking if you haven't yet stopped freaking out), but Krispy Kreme is giving away those exact donuts for free...tomorrow.
Krispy Kreme actually indicated earlier this month they'd do something like this when they issued their National Donut Day challenge on June 7. At the time, they said if they could literally just give away a free donut to 1 million willing customers, they'd do the same with another free donut deal later in the month. Turns out, more than 1 million people took them up on that offer. So, yeah. Here we are. New donut! Free donut! All the donuts!
Anyway, in case you can't tell, the chain seems really amped about this new creation and its backstory. I'll let Chief Marketing Officer for Krispy Kreme Doughnut Corporation Dave Skena explain:
Krispy Kreme was at the launch of Apollo 11, serving fresh doughnuts to Americans witnessing liftoff of this monumental mission. As America prepares to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the moon landing, we want to give our fans a new taste experience that is out of this world. We choose to fill our Original Glazed doughnuts, not because it is easy, but because it is hard (no disrespect intended, JFK). Actually…it’s not hard, it’s melt-in-your-mouth delicious.
With that, make your way to your local Krispy Kreme tomorrow and get yourself a free original filled doughnut. Then just continue panicking about it because it seems to be working in our favor, honestly. I want even more free donuts.
