On Sunday, the president posted a tweet aimed at the “Tonight Show” host. Trump, no stranger to tweeting his every thought, wrote: “@jimmyfallon is now whimpering to all that he did the famous ‘hair show’ with me (where he seriously messed up my hair), & that he would have now done it differently because it is said to have ‘humanized’ me — he is taking heat. He called & said ‘monster ratings.’ Be a man Jimmy!”

Trump is referring to the famous moment during his 2016 appearance on Fallon’s show when the host messed with his hair. In an interview with the Hollywood Reporter, Fallon said it was a “mistake” and that looking back, he’d do it differently.

Fallon responded to the Twitter attack during his Monday monologue: “I just wanna give a shout-out to our show’s number one fan, the president of the United States!” he said. “As you may have heard, last night, the president of the United States went after me on Twitter. So Melania, if you’re watching, I don’t think your anti-bullying campaign is working.”

Yahoo readers have already begun taking sides. One commenter wrote, “I don’t blame Fallon on the way he feels.” Another chimed in, “Doesn’t the president have anything better to do than spend so much time on Twitter?”

For some Trump supporters, the president can do no wrong. “Go Trump! We’re with you all the way,” said one, while another weighed in with, “Trump just keeps winning — get over it.”
