Trump brushes off Stormy Daniels hush money in well-tempered tweets we know he didn't write

Little by little we’re learning more about the scandal-filled transaction between President Trump, his former attorney Michael Cohen, and porn star Stormy Daniels. Last week, the president himself admitted to being represented by Cohen during the “crazy Stormy Daniels deal,” a shocking statement considering Trump had denied any knowledge of the $130,000 “hush money” payment. And last night, Trump’s lawyer Rudy Giuliani made another startling confession.

While appearing on Fox News’ Hannity, the former mayor seemed to confirm the president’s involvement in the controversial exchange, saying the hush money was “funneled through a law firm and then the president repaid it. He didn’t know about the specifics of it, as far as I know. But he did know the general arrangement.”

The statement directly contradicts what Trump has been saying for months about the Stormy Daniels payment, that he knew nothing about the exchange. But this morning, the president confirmed the agreement with three tweets.

Twitter, of course, exploded with reactions to both Giuliani’s statement and Trump’s confirmation. However, one detail stood out: Trump apparently didn’t write these tweets — at least that’s what the internet believes. Many noted few misspellings and lack of nicknames in the tweets. They also noticed the composed tone of the statement, a far cry from Trump’s typical fiery approach.

Many couldn’t help mocking the president.
