If you’ve been craving more true-crime documentaries after watching American Nightmare, you’ve come to the right place. But be warned, the new doc will make you think twice before online dating.

Lover, Stalker, Killer just premiered on Netflix on February 9, and it’s already claimed the number one spot on the streaming service’s list of most-watched movies. (It’s currently ranked ahead of American Assassin, Horrible Bosses 2, Seraphim Falls, The Super Mario Bros. Movie and Orion and the Dark.)

The story focuses on a mechanic named Dave Kroupa, who’s determined to find love after divorce. So, he signs himself up for an online dating website and creates a profile. After weeks of no matches, he finally hits it off with a single mom. Since the relationship is casual, he begins talking to another woman. This is where things get interesting.

Of course, his two “girlfriends” eventually find out about each other. They seem amicable at first, but it doesn’t take long for jealousy to get the best of them. *Cue the sabotage*

At first, the harassment arrives in the form of messages. “I’m going to destroy the things you care about,” one reads. “Your life will be ruined for ruining mine.” It eventually escalates to the point where no one—not even Dave’s ex-wife—feels safe.

We don’t want to give away the ending, but you can expect to question who to blame until the truth is revealed. The evidence points in one direction…then the other. You’ll be misled right up to the very end, so be prepared for a wild—yet fascinating—ride.
