Trouble snoozing? These 'amazingly comfortable' sleep headphones are down to $16

I can't sleep in total silence, and I'm not alone. There are a lot of people who like background sound while they wait for the Sandman, whether it's music, the TV or one of those weird ASMR videos on YouTube. If your spouse isn't a fan of such ambient noise (and/or if you snore like a bear, as I'm prone to do), have a look at these CozyPhones Sleep Headphones, on sale for $16 for Prime members. The name's a wee bit misleading: Basically, it's a soft mesh headband with built-in speakers that you don when hitting the sack. Call them what you will; I call them genius! Looking for a gift for that special someone? Pick this up — I promise they won't see it coming.

Sweaty sleeper? Don't worry; these are washable. Fashion-conscious sleeper? Don't worry; these come in four color schemes.

Why is this a good deal?

You can't put a price on great sleep, but at just $16, these headphones cost a whole lot less than a sleep test. Let them lull you into slumber accompanied by your favorite tunes.

Why do I need these?

My fave products are those that score big on form and function, and these phones check both boxes in a big way. Their wraparound design means the speakers transmit audio straight to your ears without bothering the person sleeping next to you. At the same time, they're close-fitting without being too tight — their build dips below the ears to help the speakers stay in place, but that snugness doesn't sacrifice breathability. And their mesh softness means they won't disturb your slumber, even if you're side-sleeping right on top of them.

Admittedly, there's one feature that might constitute an issue for some: These are not Bluetooth. They connect to devices through a 3.5mm audio jack via a cord that comes out the back. But said cord is 52 inches long and made of braided material, so you'll never have to worry about it tangling.

Oh, and good news for sweaty sleepers: The speakers and cable are removable, so just pop those out when it's time to wash the band and you'll have it smelling fresh again in no time.

This headband makes a fantastic gift! It's cheap, thoughtful, and is something they'll actually use throughout the year — all the requirements for a truly great stocking stuffer.

What reviewers say

"The ultimate solution to a snoring spouse!!!" said one happy wife. "These headphones are exactly what I've been needing for 20 years! My husband snores. Loudly. We've tried so many things over the years. First, trying to fix his snoring. He even had surgery, nothing worked.... This is absolutely the best solution I've found yet." This could have been written by my wife.

Says another fan: "These are amazingly comfortable for me to use while sleeping. I don't feel the earpieces at all. I use a CPAP machine, so I'm already used to be tethered to something, so maybe that helps! The earpieces do slide around inside the band, so I have to adjust that now and then, but overall I love them. No more ear pain from earbuds! The band was really tight when I first tried it on but it stretched out very quickly..."

"If you've ever seen winter ear covers, that's what these are like, but made out of breathable, super-light material (like a moisture-wicking gym material)," explained this satisfied slumberer. "These are comfortable to wear while sleeping, and no need to take them off. The earphones are completely flat, so you can rest your head w/o feeling something push on your ear, and the cord (which is quiet long and flexible) is positioned at the back of your head. I can toss and turn at night and no tangling."

Stay cool, stay comfortable, and stay tuned in to your favorite audio entertainment while you snooze.
