Netflix have had us hooked recently, thanks to true-crime winners, binge-watchable reality TV and some genuinely good films. After Twitter went wild for Let Him Go, viewers have been taking to social media to share a surprising reaction to new film Troll.

As the official synopsis explains, "When an explosion in the Norwegian mountains awakens an ancient troll, officials appoint a fearless paleontologist to stop it from wreaking deadly havoc."

The Norwegian film shot straight to the top spot of the streaming service's most-watched movies, with viewers later taking to Twitter to share their opinions. And, unusually, it looks like its garnered unanimous support.

While Netflix haven't discussed the opportunity for a second film, the Troll creators would be keen to explore a sequel. Speaking to What’s On Netflix, director Roar Uthaug commented, "Right now we’re focused on one big entertaining movie and let’s see how the response is to that."

While producer Kristian Strand Sinkerud added, "As filmmakers, you always have ambitions to make something that can last a little longer than one film. Of course, we have ambitions to make a sequel and perhaps two sequels, but it all depends on how the audience are responding to Troll."
