It's been a banner year for Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood, with a stadium tour, awards shows, and more special appearances. This week, the couple took some time out of their busy schedules for a celebration just for them.

Garth recapped the year's events with another episode of "Inside Studio G," his weekly Facebook live conversation. He opened the episode with acoustic versions of Leonard Cohen’s "Hallelujah" and Ed Sheeran’s "Perfect" and then went on to reflect on the year and the upcoming holidays.

For Garth, December brings an extra-special holiday: His wedding anniversary. This year, he and Trisha celebrated their 17th anniversary on December 10, and, according to Garth, "We did absolutely nothing at all, and we did it together. And, I gotta tell you, we're pretty damn good at it."

He explains that he and Trisha went "old-school" this year with dinner at Sperry's Restaurant in Nashville: "We just had a good little, kinda hold hands kinda thing." He said while most couples at the restaurant sat facing each other, he and Trisha sat side by side and "got to be all romantic." Then they went home and watched "maybe the most romantic film there ever was...Hateful Eight." He says the Quentin Tarantino film is Trisha's favorite movie. "That will tell you how twisted she is, that's why I love her so much."

Trisha, who is a known Yellowstone fan, chimed in the comments with "Miss Yearwood loves a Western!"

Well, we definitely didn't see that coming, but it sounds like Trisha and Garth had a very happy anniversary!
