Making the most of every room is crucial no matter how big your home is, wouldn't you say? So when Harp Design Co. posted a throwback of a space that Fixer Upper's Clint Harp and the team worked on for a previous episode of Wood Work, I was instantly amazed.

In this particular episode, Clint, his wife and business partner, Kelly, and other talented craftspeople transformed a family's small bonus room into a 3-in-1 space for sleeping, playing games, and hanging out/watching television. Yes, that's three different spaces successfully arranged in one room-but none of them are crammed.

You're probably wondering...how? Well, the secret was mostly in the custom triple decker bunk bed they built. (Oh and it sleeps four people, because there is even a trundle bed below the first bunk.) It was definitely no easy feat, though. Aside from having to transport the unit from Waco to Arlington, the team also had to make sure the beds worked with the angled ceiling-its tallest point measured 14 feet and lowest was 8 to 9 feet.

"If we weren’t careful, there wouldn’t be enough room for the foot of the bed with the ceiling angling so sharply," Clint shared in a blog post. To this, he added, "We played with the dimensions as much as we possibly could, leaving ample space at the head of the bed on that very top bunk and just enough at the foot to where someone wouldn’t be cramped...It took a lot of math, planning, and patience."

The hard work certainly paid off, and I can't get over how it turned out-I'm sure the Fords were even more thrilled. In the end, the triple bunk beds were what saved the space from chaos, leaving plenty of room for a beautiful ash ping-pong table and a TV/lounge area.

Good news! Unless you have a similar sloped ceiling situation in which you'd need your furniture customized, there are easy and affordable options out there for you so you can put three beds in one small space. Here are a few triple bunk bed options to get you inspired.
