I Tried Summer Fridays’ New Lip Balm, and Now I’m Buying One for Every Bag I Own

Unfortunately, I was blessed with really dry lips (thanks, Mom). Like, the kind that require lip masks on the regular and a lip balm in every purse and pocket. So over the years, I’ve become well-acquainted with pretty much every balm, gloss and supposedly “hydrating” product on the market.

And they all work fine. Most leave my lips feeling nourished for 20 or so minutes before I’m met with the urge to reapply. Which I thought was the norm, until I tried Summer Fridays’ new Lip Butter Balm. Guys, this stuff is like buy-one-to-keep-in-every-bag-you-own level good. And that’s saying a lot because my expectations were pretty high going in given my love of the brand’s Jet Lag Mask.

The first time I swiped on the lip mask-lip balm hybrid, I immediately noticed two things. First, my lips felt ultra moisturized and supple. And second, its vanilla scent smelled incredible. When I looked in the mirror, I was even more impressed. My lips looked plump and glossy, almost like I had applied a plumping lip gloss (but without the tingly pain).

After admiring my pout’s flattering sheen for a couple of minutes, I sat down at my computer and got to work, completely forgetting about my new found holy grail lip product until a couple of hours later, when I realized (with awe) that my lips still felt hydrated. That’s no coincidence. The Lip Butter Balm is formulated with shea and murumuru seed butters to naturally heal and condition even the driest of lips (like mine). And the ingredients actually hydrate, so that when the product wears off your lips don’t feel parched all over again like they do with other balms.

And perhaps the best part of all (in addition to the many compliments I’ve received via FaceTime and Zoom)? The new Summer Fridays product is on sale right now, thanks to Sephora’s Spring Savings Event. Just be sure to use code ‘SPRINGSAVE’ at checkout for 10 to 20 percent off, depending on your Sephora membership status.

Hurry, before this gem of a product inevitably sells out.
