I Tried All Of The Food At Volcano Bay & These Are My Unfiltered Thoughts

In the last episode of Iconic Eats, Adriana Redding ate her way through the newly opened Minion Land at Universal Orlando Resort. And now we're hopping across the park to explore all the food at Volcano Bay.

Volcano Bay is a water park where you can choose your own adventure. Whether you enjoy thrilling water slides that go down a massive volcano or keeping it chill at the wave pool, you can take advantage of the park's tropical attractions.

There's so much to do at Volcano Bay, but we were most excited about the food, of course. With all the theme park classics and exciting tropical menu items, it's nearly impossible to decide what to try. Thankfully, Adriana ate her way through the park to find the best of the best.

Here are the six can't-miss food and drink items at Volcano Bay At Universal Orlando Resort:

Best Drink: Tiki Punch, $13.99

It's virtually impossible to spend at day at a tropical-themed water park without enjoying a Tiki drink. And at Dancing Dragons Boat Bar in the Wave Village, their house punch is the peak of tropical cocktails. It has four (yes, you read that right) different types of rum. But according to Adriana, it tastes like "the best tropical fruit punch Kool Aid you’ve ever had."

Best Meatless Option: Vegetarian Quinoa Edamame Burger Platter, $15.49

Vegetarian options at theme parks often get a bad rap, especially with veggie burgers. But not this one. At Bambu in the Rainforest Village, the patty can stand on its own with a crisp exterior and soft and savory center. But to up the ante, they top the burger with roasted shiitake mushrooms, lettuce, tomato, and Sriracha mayo. It's so good that it will even convert staunch carnivores.

Best For Sharing: Mango BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwich, $12.99

It's not often that we find an entree at a theme park that we can't finish. But the mango BBQ pulled pork sandwich at Kohola Reef Restaurant and Social Club is truly too big for one person. It's piled high with tender pork, cabbage and mango slaw, and a massive slice of pineapple. If you share it with someone else, it's worth every bite.

Best Entree: Hawaiian Longboard Pizza, $14.49

You may walk into a tropical-themed water park and expect to find a Hawaiian pizza, but this pie exceeds expectations. At Whakawaiwai Eats, this longboard-shaped pizza is topped with caramelized pineapple, diced ham, and pickled jalapeños for a sweet, savory, and spicy bite. Even pineapple-on-pizza haters will want to steal a bite.

Best Dessert: Chocolate Lava Cake, $5.49

Eating a chocolate lava cake at Volcano Bay just feels right. Universal's version is just as indulgent and decadent as you can expect. And it's sitting in a pool of a fresh fruit syrup, which balances the rich chocolate with a burst of brightness. If you're visiting Volcano Bay, this is a must-try.

Best Snack: Poke Poke Bowl, $14.99

If you're spending the whole day basking in the Florida sun, you most likely will want a snack that's light and refreshing. And the poke poke bowl at The Feasting Frog is the ultimate warm weather pick-me-up. It's made with raw Ahi Tuna that's topped with soy honey vinaigrette and pineapple salsa. And with the crispy plantain chips? It's truly the snack of champions.
