A Harvest Homecoming
Christmas movies might be just around the corner, but we still have time to squeeze in some more autumn fare. Great American Family continues their fall festival of films with A Harvest Homecoming starring Trevor Donovan and Jessica Lowndes. Donovan also performs "Fields of Gold," a song he wrote for the film.

What is A Harvest Homecoming about?
In A Harvest Homecoming, teacher Drew Granger (Donovan) accepts a temporary substitute job in his old hometown of Chestnut Hollow, Texas, where he meets Aiden, the proverbial new kid at school, desperate for a caring friend. While he would rather have taken a job anywhere else, Drew reconsiders Chestnut Hollow when he meets Lainie Abbott (Lowndes), the new manager of his parents’ massive apple orchard and cider mill business, and more importantly, Aiden’s mom.

Jessica Lowndes (Lainie)
Trevor Donovan isn't the only singer in this cast. Lowndes is a singer also, having released multiple singles and EPs. Her first album, Elemental, was released in 2022. Lowndes has appeared in multiple movies for Lifetime, Hallmark Channel, and Great American Family including Christmas at Pemberley Manor, Harmony from the Heart, and Mix Up in the Mediterranean.
Trevor Donovan (Drew)
On top of acting and singing, Donovan is also a children's author who is currently collaborating with middle school students participating in his anti-bullying initiative, Team Upstanders, to write and animate the fourth book in his 'Love Always' series. All proceeds from the book will be donated to Team Upstanders, which is dedicated to creating a support system for students based on treating others with empathy, kindness and respect.
Adding to his skill set, Donovan also competed in season 31 of Dancing with the Stars and made it to Week 9 of the competition.

A Harvest Homecoming premieres Saturday, Sept. 30 at 8 p.m. ET on Great American Family.
