Trending ‘Parks and Recreation’ meme allows users to ask for help: ‘I don’t know what I’m doing’

A scene from the illustrious sitcom Parks and Recreation is becoming a trending sound on TikTok as users admit to not knowing what to do.

The line comes from Lord Edgar Darby Covington (Peter Serafinowicz), who made his first appearance in the show in Season 6. He was open and honest about his abilities in the show, and TikTokers are following his lead.

“When my boss asks me how my project is going,” said @memesfromtvandfilm.

That post has nearly 3 million views and has spawned several videos with the audio.

“Me when I’m in charge of training the new person at work,” wrote @jenniferobi22.

This was a common situation, as several people related to not knowing how to properly train a new employee.

“Got told to train the new guy at work and I could’ve sworn he was teaching me things some how,” said @fpgclips.

TikTokers have made this sound into the perfect one to use when you’re confused at work, even sharing that knowledge with their bosses.

“Being too honest with my manager during our weekly 1:1,” said @kcfiguringitout.

This scene is yet another one from Parks and Recreation to trend on TikTok recently. A CapCut template of Ron Swanson (Nick Offerman) saying, “I’m not sure I’m interested in that. No, I am sure. I am not interested in that,” was a popular meme over the last month.

With several memeable moments from the show, don’t be surprised if yet another clip from Parks and Recreation begins to populate your For You Page soon.
