Treat Williams Laid to Rest in Intimate Funeral in Vermont

Treat Williams' family and friends gathered for an intimate funeral in the Everwood actor's hometown.

Sources confirmed to People that a memorial service was held on Monday, June 19 in the actor's home, which is said to be a farm in Manchester, Vermont. It is where Williams lived with wife Pam Van Sant, whom he was married to for 35 years.

It's said he was buried in a cemetery in the Green Mountain State on Tuesday, June 20. Per the outlet, this ceremony was also attended by close family and friends.

Williams' death was announced on June 12, with his longtime agent Barry McPherson confirming the news of his passing.

"He was killed this afternoon. He was making a left or a right [and] a car cut him off," McPherson said in a statement at the time.

"I'm just devastated. He was the nicest guy. He was so talented,” he continued, adding, "He was an actor's actor. Filmmakers loved him. He's been the heart of the Hollywood since the late 1970s. He was really proud of his performance this year. He's been so happy with the work that I got him. He's had a balanced career."

On June 13, Vermont State Police shared in a statement, "Williams was unable to avoid a collision and was thrown from his motorcycle."

The announcement continued, "He suffered critical injuries and was airlifted to Albany Medical Center in Albany, New York, where he was pronounced dead."

Following his passing, Williams' daughter Ellie shared a statement, which read "This is pain I have never felt. I am absolutely shattered."

She continued, "Thank you to everyone who has sent messages and kept our family in your hearts during this terrible heartbreak."

Many of the actor's friends paid tribute to him, including his Everwood co-stars Gregory Smith and Emily Van Camp, as well as his Empire Strikes Back co-star Mark Hamill.
