Travis Scott Reportedly Requested He and Kylie Jenner Be Moved Away From Nicki Minaj at VMAs 2018
Mere hours before the world was set to witness perhaps the most awkward camera shots of the MTV VMAs audience of all time, Travis Scott has reportedly requested that he and Kylie Jenner not sit directly behind Nicki Minaj. According to TMZ, the couple will instead be placed way across New York City’s Radio City Music Hall, next to Cardi B.
News of the updated seating chart comes shortly after Nicki appeared to start some drama with Travis, Kylie, and, inexplicably, their 6-month-old daughter, Stormi Webster, on Twitter. “I put my blood sweat & tears in writing a dope album only for Travis Scott to have Kylie Jenner post a tour pass telling ppl to come see her & Stormi. lol. Im actually laughing,” Nicki tweeted on Sunday, in reference to Kylie’s recent Instagram post revealing that Stormi would be joining her parents on Travis’s yet-to-be-announced Astroworld tour. Nicki added, “#Queen broke the record of being number 1 in 86 countries. Thank Jesus & thank you to my fans.”
Later that day, Nicki went on to call out Spotify, which she claimed attempted to sabotage her new album Queen’s recent release after she played some of the tracks a few minutes early. “Spotify put drake’s face on every playlist but told me they’d have to teach me a lesson for playing my music 10 mins early on #QueenRadio. Even tho they’ve been giving away my music for free for years & I am one of the top Spotify artists of all time,” she began a short thread of tweets about her allegations against Spotify.
As the day went on, Nicki explained in other tweets that she harbored no serious ill will toward those she was calling out online, but rather pointing out obstacles that black women face in the workplace and elsewhere, going on to seemingly compare herself to Harriet Tubman.
Both Nicki and Travis are set to perform at Monday night’s VMAs.
