Travis Scott is one of the biggest hip-hop stars on the planet, a creative force to be reckoned with who also happens to look really damn good in the clothes he wears. He's a natural fit for pretty much any fashion house looking to ramp up the excitement around its wares by combining cool points with a celebrity. In fact, Scott was the face of the collab between Dior and Air Jordan when the capsule collection sent the entire internet into a tizzy last year. But Scott isn't just the guy who wears the cool shit; he's also the guy who makes it.

Under the Cactus Jack banner, Scott has collaborated with everyone from Nike to McDonald's. And whether he's lending his star power and marketing expertise to a happy meal or a pair of Jordan 1s, he's consistently proven that he's able to get fans out there to scoop up his latest creations, even when there's nary a new track to be heard. Dior's artistic director Kim Jones is also a prolific collaborator, the man who not only engineered the massively popular team-up between Supreme and Louis Vuitton when he was working for the former, but also the driving force behind Dior's collabs with Stüssy, Jordan, Daniel Arsham, Amoako Boafo, and more.

Looking back at their trajectories now, on the morning that Dior sent out a release confirming that Jones and Scott collaborated on the entire Summer 2022 men's collection, it seems almost inevitable that their paths would cross like this. Much more than a simple celeb co-sign, "this unprecedented event represents the first full Dior collection ever created with a musician for the house," the company said in a statement. We may have even gotten a preview of what's to come already, considering the brown suede jacket Scott wore out in Paris yesterday emblazoned with what looks like it could be a new collaborative logo.

What's to come of this, and will it be yet another in the string of smash-hit collaborations that Jones has overseen at Dior. We can only speculate at this point, but considering the designer's track record, I'm feeling pretty optimistic about the future. Luckily, the Dior Summer 2022 will be unveiled in Paris and on Dior's website on June 25, so we don't have long to wait.
